About the Merger

VNB/FSNH represents the merger of two banks, Vermont National Bank and First Savings of New Hampshire. The merger became effective on September 22, 1997.

Together we are proud supporters of community-enhancing projects and programs like:

VISA® Card for Kids®, through which we donate 1% of card sales to national and local children's organizations.

Socially Responsible Banking Fund®, offering the individual depositor and money manager a banking option that can meet both their financial goals and social concerns. By using deposits for loans in the areas of affordable housing, environmental and conservation projects, agriculture, education, and small businesses demonstrating social concerns, the SRB Fund satisfies many of the requirements of today's socially responsible investor.

Socially Aware Investing program, which offers individual investors and money managers information about the stance taken on various socially issues by the companies in which they are contemplating investing.

In addition we provide generous support to a variety of Vermont and New Hampshire charitable organizations.
