VNB/FSNH's VISA® Card For Kids® gives you the worldwide dependability and convenience of VISA® while supporting childrens organizations that need your help. Card for Kids® is just like a standard VISA® card and you get all the usual benefits and services. VNB/FSNH will contribute 1% of all monthly purchases you make with the Card For Kids® VISA® Classic or VISA® Gold to childrens agencies providing a variety of important services. Agencies selected may include national and international youth organizations. The following are examples of groups receiving funding through Vermont National Banks Card For Kids program for 1997: CAMP TA-KUM-TA, Waterbury, VT Camp TA-KUM-TA is a week-long resident camp for children with cancer. The camps programs are planned to meet the many different needs of the children and to encourage creativity, enthusiasm, sharing and support for all. It gives children with cancer a special week away from hospitals and treatment routines, while providing trained staff who can give the necessary care these children need. DAVIDS HOUSE, Hanover, NH Davids House provides housing for families with ill children receiving treatment at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. FOSTER GRANDPARENTS, Colchester, VT The Foster Grandparents program has, since 1977, matched the needs of children and youth with the talents and love of elders. All children involved in the Foster Grandparent Program have an identified special or exceptional need. Foster Grandparents are all 60 years and older and have an interest in working with special needs children. The Program bridges the generations by allowing elders to offer their patience, love and wisdom to special needs children and by allowing children to reach out to elders who need their love. LUND FAMILY CENTER, Burlington, VT The Lund Family Centers mission is to promote the development of strong, healthy families. They serve pregnant teens, families with young children and adoptive families. They offer a variety of programs including playgroups, life skill classes, peer support, home visits, and parent education classes. Through these services, LFC provides community education and support and reduces the risk of school failure, child abuse, neglect, and unplanned pregnancy. MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION OF VERMONT, S. Burlington, VT Make-A-Wish grants wishes to children who are living with terminal illnesses. All expenses are fully covered regardless of a familys socio-economic status. VERMONT ARTS EXCHANGE, N. Bennington, VT The Vermont Arts Exchange is a community development and arts organization with a mission of reaching low income, at-risk youth and elders. They offer afterschool arts enrichment programs, inter-generational arts, and community service outreach. VERMONT CAMPAIGN TO END CHILDHOOD HUNGER, S. Burlington, VT The Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger works to end childhood hunger through school lunch and breakfast programs, summer food programs, and educating the public about childhood hunger. VERMONT YOUTH CONSERVATION CORP, Waterbury, VT Vermont Youth Conservation Corps provides youth from a broad range of socio-economic and educational backgrounds with training in job skills, leadership and teamwork. Youth Corps fulfills its mission of teaching personal responsibility through conservation work on public lands. Automated Teller Machines You may use your VNB or FSNH VISA® Card For Kids® at any automated teller machine (ATM) worldwide that is part of the Plus® System, NYCE®, MAC® or VISA® ATM networks without a transaction fee. Cash Advance Checks You may use VISA® Card For Kids® cash advance checks anytime to write checks up to your approved credit limit. These checks are available by calling Customer Service at 1-800-367-8862, or simply mark the appropriate box on the application form. How to Apply Download the printable VISA® Card for Kids® application, fill it out, and mail return it by mail.
