John
began his career on Wall Street in 1967 working
for a large mutual fund organization. After
moving to Vermont in 1972 he began learning trust
portfolio management and has since based his
practice on genuine concern for his clients'
overall financial well-being
John emphasizes quality common
stocks with consistent earnings and dividend
growth records. Diversification by industry
sector is another factor that John considers in
building a trust portfolio. Of course, in
structuring a stock and bond portfolio, John
takes into account the client's changing
investment objectives, risk tolerance, and tax
considerations. In fact, John believes that open
and frequent communication about such matters is
the single most important factor in the
relationship between client and trust officer.
